Location: Preston
Salary: £85 – £105 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time / Term-time only
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team and provide tailored support for a pupil with additional needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s educational journey, ensuring they feel supported, confident, and able to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with additional learning, social, or behavioural needs.
Assist with implementing individual learning plans and EHCP (if applicable).
Adapt classroom activities and resources to suit the child’s needs.
Support with personal development, social skills, and emotional wellbeing.
Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider school staff.
Help create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children in an educational or care setting.
A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
Strong communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
(Desirable) Knowledge of SEN strategies such as autism support, ADHD, or speech & language.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Childcare, or equivalent) are beneficial but not essentialBefore You Apply
