This is a part-time role for 10 hours per week, delivered afternoons only Monday to Friday, with an immediate start.
About the role - you will:
Support the learner in Functional Skills English, with the possibility of preparing for GCSE English
Develop the young person's social and communication skills through
consistent, structured, and supportive interaction
Create an engaging and personalised learning experience that builds confidence and motivation
Sessions will take place face-to-face in the learner's home
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
Proven experience teaching and supporting students with ASD and social communication needs
Strong understanding of differentiated teaching, sensory needs, and strategies for neurodivergent learners
Experience delivering Functional Skills and/or GCSE English
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
Availability for an immediate start and commitment to consistency
