Key Responsibilities:
Customer Experience: Deliver exceptional service, ensuring all interactions reflect a commitment to professionalism and customer satisfaction.
Safe Delivery & Assembly: Safely transport, deliver, and assemble a variety of furniture, ensuring each item is handled with care and positioned thoughtfully in the customer's home.
Professional Conduct: Maintain a high level of professionalism during all deliveries, including pre-calls for scheduling, ensuring that all interactions with customers are courteous and respectful.
Vehicle & Equipment Maintenance: Ensure company vehicles are properly maintained, clean, and ready for use. Perform daily checks and report any issues immediately to maintain operational efficiency.
Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety protocols when handling tools and assembling furniture, while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Documentation: Accurately complete all required paperwork, ensuring records for deliveries, assemblies, and any customer issues are recorded and reported.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to ensure smooth operations, occasionally assisting with warehouse tasks and inventory management when needed.
Problem-Solving: Handle unexpected challenges, such as missing parts or difficult assembly tasks, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in furniture delivery and assembly, with the ability to handle physically demanding tasks.
Strong attention to detail and professionalism when interacting with customers and team members.
Effective communication skills, ensuring clear and accurate information is shared with colleagues and customers alike.
Time management: Ability to stay punctual and meet delivery schedules while maintaining high standards of service.
Proactive attitude with a can-do approach to tackling challenges and problem-solving.
Ability to work autonomously, taking ownership of your responsibilities while contributing to team success.
Essential Criteria:
Must hold a Cat B driving license and be capable of driving a 3.5t Van.
Physically fit to manage the physical demands of the role, including heavy lifting.
Knowledge of the local area and ability to navigate using digital tools or apps.
Good organizational and administrative skills, including handling documentation and reports.
Ability to perform light furniture assembly.
