A well-established precision engineering company in Staffordshire is seeking a skilled and experienced 5-Axis Machinist to join their night shift team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility with modern CNC machinery, excellent shift premiums, and regular overtime.
Key Responsibilities
Set and operate 5-axis CNC machining centres
Work on high-precision components to tight tolerances
Use technical drawings and CAD/CAM data to ensure accuracy
Maintain and monitor machine performance and part quality
Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to meet production goals
Apply knowledge of tooling, speeds, and feeds to optimize machining processes
Requirements
Time-served engineer with recognised industry-standard qualifications
Proven experience setting and operating 5-axis machining centres
Familiarity with Mazak and Matsuura machines is highly desirable
Experience using CADCAM software - particularly Fusion and PowerMill - is an advantage
High level of attention to detail and precision
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a night shift environment
