Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Shunter Driver to work on a fixed 2PM–10PM shift in Whittlesey. This is a yard-based role, ideal for someone who enjoys consistency, clean modern kit, and a professional working environment.
Pay & Shift Details:
* £18.00 per hour – PAYE only
* Fixed shift: 2PM–10PM
* 6 on / 3 off shift pattern
* No overtime required
* Paid assessments available immediately
The Role:
* Yard-based shunting of trailers (no road work)
* Moving units and trailers within a large, modern site
* Using brand new equipment and maintained shunt vehicles
* Coordinating with transport and warehouse teams
* No loading/unloading
Requirements:
* Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence
* CPC & Digital Tachograph Card
* Previous shunting experience preferred
* Must be reliable and confident operating in a yard environment
* Comfortable working independently and safely
