7.5 Tonne Driver

Location: Swansea
Pay Rate: £16.05 per hour
Overtime: £23.43 per hour after 40 hours worked per week
Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:00am Start | 8-10 Hour Shifts
Start Date: Immediate Start Available

Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and reliable 7.5 Tonne Driver (Category C1) to join a busy transport team based in Swansea. This is an excellent opportunity offering regular weekday work, plenty of overtime, weekly pay, and the opportunity to secure a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate a 7.5-tonne vehicle to complete deliveries and collections.
Carry out daily vehicle safety checks before each shift.
Load and unload goods safely, with regular manual handling involved.
Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed efficiently and on time.
Complete delivery paperwork and use handheld devices where required.
Provide excellent customer service when dealing with customers.
Follow all road transport legislation and company health and safety procedures.
Report any vehicle defects, accidents, or delivery issues promptly.
Keep the vehicle clean, tidy, and roadworthy.

Requirements

Full UK Category C1 (7.5 Tonne) driving licence.
Valid Driver CPC qualification.
Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
Maximum of 6 penalty points (no DD, DR or IN endorsements).
Previous 7.5-tonne driving experience preferred.
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Benefits

£16.05 per hour.
Overtime paid at £23.43 per hour after 40 hours worked each week.
