Job Title: 7.5 Tonne Delivery Driver – New passes accepted
Location: Wednesbury WS10 7WJ
Salary: £35,360 / £13.60 per hour
Contract Type: 12-week temp to perm

A trusted and well-known retail organization is seeking 7.5 Tonne Delivery Driver to join their team on a 12-week temp to perm basis. You will be required to work on a rota basis 5 days on, 3 days off, this role will include weekends. The hours of work will be 6.45am – 6pm, but if the deliveries are completed there is an opportunity to finish earlier.
The role involves delivering white goods including washing machines, fridge freezers and tumble dryers to people’s homes and places of work. This is a physically demanding job with lots of heavy lifting, you will have a Drivers Mate with you every day, your routes are planned for you and the van will be loaded. Due to the nature of the role a DBS check will be required.
The duties of the 7.5 Tonne Delivery Driver will include:
Lifting heavy items and completing a multi-drop driving role
Ensuring the right products get to the right places at the right time
Installing a range of various products for our customers
Following a delivery route
Pre calling customers before arrival
Filling in paperwork as and when required
Removing all packaging from each delivery
We are looking for 7.5 Tonne Delivery Drivers with:
Must be over 25 years old
Experience within a similar role
A full Class C1 UK/EA licence with no more than six penalty points
CPC card (and Ideally) Tachograph card
A passion for delivering great customer service
The ability to handle heavy goods
A clean DBS
