Job Description
We are recruiting for a reliable and experienced 7.5 Tonne Driver to join a well-established fresh produce distributor based in Widnes. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm position offering consistent shifts, competitive pay, and the opportunity for long-term employment with a respected local company.
You will be responsible for the multi-drop delivery of fresh fruit and vegetables to a variety of commercial clients across the North West, using a 7.5T vehicle. The role involves early starts, physical work, and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive a 7.5T (C1) vehicle for multi-drop deliveries
* Deliver fresh produce to local businesses professionally and on time
* Load and unload goods safely, including some flatbed delivery work
* Perform daily vehicle safety checks and report defects
* Complete all relevant delivery documentation and logs
* Follow planned routes and comply with road safety regulations
* Represent the business positively when dealing with customers
Requirements
* Full UK Driving Licence with C1 entitlement (7.5 tonne)
* Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
* Experience in multi-drop delivery, ideally within food or produce
* Physically fit and comfortable with early morning starts (4:00 AM)
* Reliable, self-motivated, and customer focused
* Familiarity with North West delivery routes is beneficial
What’s On Offer
* £14.00 per hour, paid weekly
* Full-time hours on a 5 out of 6 days pattern – Monday to Saturday
* 12-week temp-to-perm contract with opportunity to go permanent
* Weekly pay plus holiday accrual
* Consistent shift pattern and early finish times
