Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and adherence to all driving regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a valid driving licence for 7.5 tonne vehicles and have experience in commercial driving.
Duties
Operate a 7.5 tonne lorry for the delivery of goods to customers in a timely manner.
Ensure that all deliveries are completed safely and efficiently, adhering to road safety regulations.
Conduct pre-journey vehicle checks to ensure the lorry is roadworthy and compliant with safety standards.
Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly during transit.
Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any customer queries or concerns professionally.Skills
Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles.
Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to drive flatbed vehicles safely and efficiently.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
