Job Description
Role: 7.5 TONNE Driver
Location: Dartford - DA2
Hours: 6am to 5pm. Monday - Saturday. 4 shifts per week, totalling 41 hours
Pay: £36,207.95 per annum
Extrastaff are currently recruiting for a 7.5 TONNE Driver, working for the John Lewis Partnership, one of the UK's largest retail brands.

* Overtime after 41 hours - £25.39 per hour
* Assisted by driver's mate
* Newly passed/qualified 7.5 TONNE or HGV Class 2 drivers accepted
* Opportunity to increase salary by £2k per annum - become a technician (training provided)
7.5 TONNE Driver Duties:
* Working as part of a two-man crew carrying out home deliveries & installations of furniture & white goods (including televisions, washing machines, fridge freezers, beds, sofa’s, etc.)
* Assisted by drivers’ mate
* Manual handling included – you will be required to deliver to the customer’s room of choice
* Use of scanning devices & completion of paperwork
* Communicating via mobile directly with the customer regarding delivery times
* 5-week rotating shift pattern, including 3 out of 5 Saturdays
Requirements for 7.5 TONNE Driver:
* 7.5 TONNE licence (C1 category) - max 6 points on licence (cannot accept any DD, DR, or DG offences)
* Digital Tachograph Card
* Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
* Good customer service skills
* Flexibility regarding shifts times & days available
* Good telephone manner
* Reliability
* Good communication skills
