Job Description

7.5 Tonne Driver - Washington

KES Solutions are currently recruiting for a 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our client in Washington.

This is a local driving role involving the movement of finished products between the factory and customer sites. All journeys are within approximately a 10-mile radius, meaning this is ideal for a driver who wants a local driving position rather than long-distance work.

Alongside driving, you will also be responsible for loading and unloading products, handling stillages and using an SAP system to scan products in and out.

The Role

  * 

    Driving a 7.5 Tonne vehicle to deliver finished products to customer sites

  * 

    Loading the vehicle with finished products

  * 

    Unloading products at customer docks

  * 

    Collecting empty stillages and returning them to the factory

  * 

    Unloading empty stillages back at the factory

  * 

    Replacing full stillages with empty stillages

  * 

    Using SAP to scan products in and out

  * 

    Ensuring deliveries and collections are completed within required dispatch times

  * 

    Working safely and efficiently while handling products and stillages

About You

To be considered for the 7.5 Tonne Driver position, you must have:

  * 

    A valid driving licence covering 7.5 Tonne vehicles

  * 

    A valid Driver CPC

  * 

    A valid Digital Tachograph Card

  * 

    Good attention to detail and a reliable approach to work

  * 

    The ability to work to dispatch and delivery times

Previous experience in any of the following would be advantageous:

  * 

    7.5 Tonne delivery driving

  * 

    Material handling

  * 

    Manufacturing or automotive environments

  * 

    Using SAP or similar warehouse/stock systems

  * 

    Loading and unloading vehicles

Pay & Working Hours

Pay Rate: £13.54 per hour
Shift Allowance: £1.76 per hour when working the 2-shift pattern
Total Rate: £15.30 per hour on 2 shifts
