Job Description
Are you a skilled 7.5-ton driver seeking flexible work opportunities? Join Careermakers and become part of our dynamic team, providing essential transportation services.
We are currently seeking reliable drivers in Preston area to support our operations, offering competitive pay rates and flexible scheduling.
Responsibilities:
* Operate a 7.5-ton vehicle safely and efficiently to transport goods and packages to various locations.
* Follow designated routes and adhere to all relevant traffic laws and regulations.
* Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of goods while providing exceptional customer service.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition and report any issues promptly.
* Handle packages with care, ensuring they are loaded and unloaded securely to prevent damage.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any deviations from the planned route or schedule.
* Up to 20 stops.
Requirements:
* Valid UK driving licence with category C1 entitlement for 7.5-ton vehicles, with no more than 6 points and no major traffic violations.
* Proven experience as a 7.5-ton driver, preferably in a delivery or logistics environment.
* CPC and Tacho.
* Excellent driving skills with a strong focus on safety and adherence to regulations.
* Good communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
