A-Level English Teacher - Further Education (South Wales)
Pay: £28.00 - £40.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Location: South Wales
Contract: Full-time or Part-time (ongoing and long-term opportunities available)
Empowering Learning Cardiff is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated A-Level English Teacher to join a thriving and popular Further Education College in South Wales. This is an excellent opportunity for an inspiring teacher with a passion for English Language and Literature to engage, challenge, and motivate post-16 learners to reach their academic potential.
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality teaching for A-Level English Language and/or Literature courses.
Plan and prepare engaging lessons and assessments in line with the relevant exam board specifications.
Support and stretch learners of mixed abilities to achieve excellent outcomes.
Work collaboratively with curriculum leaders and colleagues to ensure the highest teaching standards.
Provide constructive feedback and academic guidance to students.
Requirements:
A relevant English degree (or related subject) at Level 6 or above.
A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, QTLS, or equivalent).
Previous experience teaching A-Level or Level 3 English is highly desirable.
A current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
The right to work in the UK and two professional references covering the last two years.
