Great opportunity for a recent Graduate looking to gain experience in schools 

An Academic Mentor is needed in a Mixed Secondary School & Sixth Form in South East London.

This Academic Mentor position can be part or full time and will be temporary in the first instance.

If appointed as an Academic Mentor your duties will include but not be limited to:

Covering lessons and ensuring the set work is completed by pupils
Promoting positive behaviour in the students and adhering to the school's behaviour policy
Ensuring classrooms are left tidy after periods end and completed work by pupils is organised properly 

The rates of pay for this Academic Mentor post will be between £82.14 to £100 a day, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each applicant.

A 'Good' Secondary School & Sixth located in the London Borough of Bexley.

Sports & Health is the school's specialism, with a lot of importance placed on Physical, Mental and Social Wellbeing.

Sports competitions at the school are a staple, with the main games being for Football, Badminton, Handball, Netball, Basketball and Cricket.

Based on past exam results, the school has been placed in the top 18% of schools nationally.

Four learning hubs form the foundation of the school - World Studies, Creative Voice, Active Science & Enterprise.

Requirements

You're welcome to apply if you're a recent Graduate or experienced Academic Mentor.

Applications are also welcome if you're a British trained Academic Mentor or overseas trained Academic Mentor.

All applicants must have the following in order to be considered for this role as an Academic Mentor:

Right to work in the UK
Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
UK Bachelor's Degree or an overseas equivalent 
Experience of working with children/teenagers or as an Academic Mentor in UK Secondary schools
