Account Manager - Biologics (Scotland) / Field‑based, Scotland / c. £70,000-£80,000 (pro rata) + competitive commission
6 month temporary contract
Join a global, science‑led dermatology specialist with a strong prescription medicines portfolio and a track record of bringing innovative skin‑health treatments to market. This organisation focuses exclusively on dermatology, combining deep clinical expertise with a patient‑centred approach, and partners closely with dermatologists, specialist nurses and payors across the NHS.
They are now strengthening their biologics team and looking for an experienced Account Manager to drive growth of an established high‑cost biologic across Scotland. You'll work with key hospital and payor stakeholders to communicate a clear value proposition and deliver robust account plans that maximise adoption and outcomes.
The role
Manage and grow sales of an established biologic across Scotland
Own relationships with key stakeholders (clinicians, pharmacists, nurses, payors)
Execute the in‑field brand strategy through robust territory and account plansKey responsibilities
Achieve and exceed sales and performance targets in your territory
Plan high‑quality customer calls with clear, SMART objectives
Confidently handle clinical and commercial objections and secure clear next steps
Educate medical teams on the disease area and product value
Identify, develop and maintain disease experts, advocates and speakers
Create and deliver effective regional/local peer‑to‑peer (P2P) programmes
Analyse sales/CRM data and field insights to focus on the right accounts and actions
Understand patient flow, local ecosystems and key influencers across Scotland
Work closely with medical, marketing and market access colleagues to deliver local business and account plans
Support formulary positioning and optimisation at local/regional level
Use an omnichannel approach (face‑to‑face, virtual, email, events) to increase adoption
Operate fully in line with ABPI and all relevant compliance requirementsAbout you
Ideally 2-3 years' experience selling high‑cost medicines, ideally with biologics
Immunology and/or Dermatology experience, with established relationships, is highly desirable
Strong track record of delivering commercial results in specialist, secondary‑care settings
Able to take complex clinical and health‑economic data and communicate it clearly and simply
Solid understanding of the UK high‑cost drugs landscape (payors, providers, funding flows, decision‑making)
Strong business acumen: able to turn local insights and data into practical, effective territory and account plans
Excellent communication, influencing, negotiation and key account management skills
Collaborative, cross‑functional and able to influence without direct authority
Comfortable working with senior healthcare stakeholders, especially payors; experience within a payor organisation is desirable
Degree‑educated in a relevant discipline and ABPI qualified
