Account Manager - Life Sciences / Scientific Technology

Location: Hybrid
Function: Sales & Marketing
Role Split: Approximately 70% Account Management / 30% Marketing

The Opportunity

We are recruiting for an Account Manager to join a growing and innovative business operating within the life sciences and scientific technology sector.

This is a varied, commercially focused role combining account management, relationship development and marketing support. You will take ownership of an established portfolio of reseller and partner accounts, developing strong long-term relationships while identifying opportunities to increase sales and grow existing business.

Approximately 70% of the position will focus on account management, with the remaining 30% supporting marketing activities, campaigns, events and wider commercial initiatives.

This would be an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys developing customer relationships, spotting commercial opportunities and playing an active role in business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Account Management

Manage and develop a portfolio of reseller and partner accounts.
Build strong, long-term relationships with customers and commercial partners.
Act as a key point of contact for reseller partners.
Identify opportunities to increase sales and develop existing accounts.
Work closely with partners to understand their requirements and support their growth.
Proactively identify new commercial opportunities within existing accounts.
Attend customer meetings and provide ongoing support to partners.
Work collaboratively with the wider commercial team to achieve growth objectives.Marketing & Commercial Support

Support marketing campaigns and wider commercial initiatives.
Assist with the creation of marketing and promotional content.
Support the planning and delivery of industry events and exhibitions.
Work closely with the Sales & Marketing team to promote products and solutions.
Represent the business at relevant customer events, conferences and exhibitions.

About You

We are looking for someone who is commercially minded, customer-focused and proactive, with the ability to build strong relationships and identify opportunities for growth.

Ideally, you will have:

Experience within account management, sales or business development.
Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
A proactive approach to identifying and developing commercial opportunities.
Confidence engaging with customers, resellers and commercial partners.
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
An interest in marketing and broader commercial activities.
The ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a wider team.Experience within life sciences, scientific equipment, microscopy, imaging or another technical environment would be advantageous, although this is not essential
