Our client is a well-established manufacturer of premium concrete blocks sold into merchants, contractors, and housing developers, across East Anglia, London, and the South East.
They are seeking a proactive and experienced Account Manager to take ownership of the Builders Merchants Channel, including major national networks and independent merchants. This pivotal role will focus on managing key head office relationships
Responsibilities:
* Take full responsibility for managing and growing the Builders Merchants Channel.
* Lead relationships with national and independent merchant groups, working with both central buying teams and branch networks.
* Collaborate with merchant sales teams to increase volume and visibility of products.
* Develop and implement channel strategies and business plans to drive long-term growth.
The Candidate:
* Proven track record managing large national accounts within the building materials sector.
* Experience dealing with central buying functions.
* Familiarity with CRM systems
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Office 365, Outlook, and Excel.
* Strong understanding of channel strategy and P&L responsibility.
* Confident in creating and executing business plans.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt to different customer profiles.
* Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently
