About the Company

With a strong reputation in environmental services and a commitment to helping customers achieve their sustainability goals, they are looking to expand their dynamic commercial team with an experienced Account Manager – covering the South of England.
Role Overview
As an Account Manager, you will play a key role in developing and managing client relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving growth opportunities within your region. You will act as the main point of contact for existing clients, providing tailored waste management and resource recovery solutions, while also identifying opportunities to grow accounts and secure long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts within your designated region (North or South).
* Build strong, long-term relationships with clients, ensuring a high standard of customer service.
* Identify and develop opportunities for upselling and cross-selling waste management and recycling services.
* Conduct regular client reviews to track performance, resolve issues, and align with sustainability targets.
* Collaborate with internal teams (operations, compliance, and customer service) to deliver seamless solutions.
* Monitor market trends and competitor activity within the waste resource sector.
* Prepare reports, forecasts, and account plans to meet and exceed targets.
* Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven experience as an Account Manager within the waste resource services sector.
* Strong track record of managing client relationships and delivering commercial results.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Commercially astute with the ability to identify and capitalise on opportunities.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts across a wide geographical region.
* Knowledge of UK waste legislation and sustainability practices.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regionally.
