Logistics Account Manager
£27,000 - £29,000 basic + bonus up to £5,000
Location: St Albans
I'm working with a long-established and growing logistics business that is currently enjoying one of the best years in its history. With sites across the UK and a reputation for delivering excellent service, they are now looking to add a Logistics Account Manager to their St Albans team.
The Role
This position is all about managing and developing relationships with existing clients. You'll be the main point of contact, looking after their import, export, or combined freight requirements. The role involves:
Building rapport and maintaining regular contact with a varied client base (from sole traders to blue chips).
Quoting jobs by liaising with hauliers, shipping lines, and other suppliers.
Passing confirmed work to the operations team in their modern open-plan office.
Spotting opportunities to grow accounts and retain business.It's a role for someone who enjoys relationship management, problem-solving, and commercial thinking rather than pure cold sales.
The Person
The client is open-minded and will consider:
Experienced account managers (ideally with exposure to logistics, transport, or similar).
Candidates with a sales or strong customer service background.
Graduates with the right attitude, drive, and communication skills.Key traits: relationship building, organisation, and a proactive approach.
What's on Offer
