This is more than just a portfolio manager role. It's a genuine mix of client ownership, accounts work, internal coordination, and compliance oversight - ideal for a practice-trained accountant who enjoys working closely with clients but still wants to stay involved in delivery and standards.
You'll be the named contact for a portfolio of clients, overseeing service, reviewing work, liaising with internal teams, and ensuring everything remains compliant and on time.
What you'll be doing:
Managing a portfolio of clients across varied sectors
Acting as the main point of contact for client advice and service coordination
Reviewing accounts and tax work prepared by the team (with some hands-on involvement)
Ensuring internal processes and regulatory standards are followed
Collaborating with payroll, tax, accounts and onboarding teams
Supporting and guiding more junior colleagues
Spotting opportunities to improve service and efficiency
What we're looking for:
ACA/ACCA qualified or QBE, with practice background
Comfortable managing client portfolios and queries
Strong grasp of compliance requirements within professional services
Confident communicator who enjoys client interaction and internal teamwork
Commercially aware and capable of balancing service with efficiency
