THE COMPANY Our client is a well-established and forward-thinking accountancy practice based in Stafford. Renowned for delivering high-quality service and building long-term client relationships, they are currently seeking an Accountancy Practice Client Manager to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with accountancy practice experience to progress their career within a supportive and dynamic environment. THE ROLE As an Accountancy Practice Client Manager, you will manage your own portfolio of clients, supporting them with a wide range of accounting and tax matters. This pivotal position offers strong progression prospects and the chance to play a key role in mentoring junior team members and strengthening client relationships. Key Responsibilities: • Manage your own portfolio of clients, acting as their main point of contact and providing day-to-day support. • Deliver technical advice and guidance across accounting and taxation issues, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. • Review accounts and tax returns prepared by junior staff to maintain accuracy and quality. • Mentor and support junior team members, helping them develop their professional skills. • Identify opportunities to enhance client services through business development, cross-selling, and advisory work. • Collaborate with senior colleagues on tax planning and advisory projects. REQUIREMENTS • ACA, ACCA, or AAT qualified (or equivalent). • Prior experience working within an accountancy practice is essential. • Strong technical knowledge in accounts preparation, tax compliance, and advisory services. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Proficient with accounting software and digital tools. • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Desirable Attributes: • Commercial awareness and sound business understanding. • Experience supervising or mentoring junior colleagues. • Proactive, solutions-focused approach. • Ability to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively within a team.
