Job Description
Axi Recruitment is working with an established business in East Yorkshire for an Accountant to join their office based team. Reporting to the Finance Director, this role will be responsible for contributing to the day-to-day finance operations of the business, ensuring the department runs smoothly and remains compliant at all times.
Job Details
* Maintain accurate financial records for the group.
* Process and reconcile purchase orders and sales invoices.
* Manage accounts payable and receivable.
* Monitor bank reconciliations and cash flow.
* Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance.
* Support the Finance Director with reporting and year-end accounts.
* Assist in preparing monthly management accounts.
* Support with budgeting and forecasting.
* Assist with processing payroll and pension contributions.
Qualifications
* Hold an ACCA, CIMA or AAT qualification.
Experience
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
* Good understanding of accounting standards and VAT.
* Ability to communicate at all levels and liaise with auditors and stakeholders.
* Experience with CIS compliance.
* Experience working within an SME.
* Organised, reliable and a team player.
