We’re a well-respected, independent accountancy practice based in Derby, known for our personable approach and expertise in the property sector. As we grow, we're looking for an experienced Part-Time Accountant to support a diverse portfolio of clients including landlords, developers, and letting agents.
Whether you’re returning to work, juggling other responsibilities, or simply looking for more balance, this role offers the flexibility you need—without compromising on challenge or career development.
What Part-Time Accountant will be doing:
* Preparing statutory accounts for small and medium-sized businesses
* Reconciling financial statements, including mortgages, redemptions, and purchases
* Handling VAT returns and general bookkeeping duties
* Working closely with clients across the property space
* Supporting capital allowance calculations and sector-specific financial tasks
What We’re Looking For:
* 5–10 years' experience in a UK Accountancy Practice
* AAT qualified (or nearly completed) and ideally studying ACCA/ACA
* Comfortable using tools like IRIS, Xero, Dext, Bright Manager
* A strong communicator who enjoys building client relationships
* Detail-focused, self-motivated, and able to manage your own workload
* Based near Derby or able to commute when needed
