Job Description
Pure is currently recruiting for a highly regarded accountancy practice based in Newmarket, they are seeking a motivated Accountant to join their growing team, both part-time and full-time will be considered. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse client base, build long-term relationships, and further develop your professional expertise.
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality financial and tax services to a portfolio of clients. You’ll be responsible for preparing accounts, VAT returns, management accounts, and tax submissions, while also advising clients on compliance and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
Completion of bookkeeping, VAT returns, and management accounts
Preparation and submission of personal and corporate tax returns
Advising clients on tax planning and financial matters
Supporting and reviewing the work of junior team members
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and tax legislation
You will ideally be ACCA or ACA qualified however, part-qualified will be considered if you have proven experience working in a senior-level role. You must have strong technical knowledge of accounting and taxation and be a confident user of accounting software such as Xero, Quickbooks or Sage.
