Job Title: Accountant – Construction Sector

Our client, a well-established construction company based in Glasgow, is seeking an Accountant to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with strong leadership skills and a strategic mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
* Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and tax regulations
* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow)
* Oversee VAT returns, audits, and financial reconciliations
* Monitor cash flow and manage AP/AR processes
* Advise senior management on financial strategy and investment decisions
* Lead and mentor the finance team
Requirements:
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
* Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within construction or a corporate environment
* Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax regulations
* Proficient in Xero and Microsoft Excel
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Strong communication and leadership abilities
