Are you a commercially astute and people-focused leader looking to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of a fast-evolving accountancy firm? We’re hiring on behalf of a forward-thinking and rapidly growing advisory-led practice, based in Leeds, that’s redefining how accountants work with their clients.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experience Manager from Practice to lead a talented and ambitious team, provide oversight of the day-to-day operations and contribute strategically to the firm’s growth journey.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Leading and mentoring a team of qualified and part-qualified accountants across compliance and advisory functions
Overseeing operational delivery and workflow management across the practice
Acting as the bridge between client delivery teams and the leadership board to ensure alignment on service standards, commercial objectives, and strategic direction
Supporting business development activity, including client onboarding, fee negotiations, and retention strategy
Driving continuous improvement across systems, processes, and team capability
Championing a people-first culture and supporting employee development initiatives
What We’re Looking For:
ACA/ACCA qualified with a strong background in accountancy practice
Proven track record in a leadership or operational management role within a mid-tier or large independent firm
Commercially minded, with strong understanding of KPIs, margin control, and client profitability
Excellent interpersonal and team leadership skills – someone who motivates, empowers, and gets the best out of people
Comfortable in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment with a desire to make an impact
