Accounts Assistant

Monday - Friday / 7:30am - 3:30pm or 8am - 4pm

£26,000 - £30,000 dependent on experience

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join a growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised individual who enjoys working with numbers and supporting the day-to-day financial operations.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining sales ledger, purchase ledger, credit control and processing transactions

Key Responsibilities

  * Processing purchase invoices and matching them to purchase orders.

  * Managing supplier statements and resolving account discrepancies.

  * Assisting with sales ledger duties, including raising invoices and monitoring customer payments.

  * Processing bank transactions and performing bank reconciliations.

  * Supporting credit control activities and following up on outstanding payments.

  * Preparing payment runs and maintaining accurate records.

  * Maintaining financial databases and filing systems.

  * Responding to finance-related queries from suppliers, customers, and internal departments.

  * Support the Finance Manager with ad-hoc duties

  * Providing administrative support to the finance team as required.

About you:

  * Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, or similar accounting role.

  * Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

  * Experience in Quickbooks is desirable but not essential
