Accounts Clerk
Salary: £15 per hour
Location: Sheffield, S3
Monday to Thursday 9.30am – 2.30pm
Our client is looking for a detail oriented and proactive accounts clerk to support the finance function and help keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. If you enjoy working with numbers and being part of a collaborative team this could be the role for you.
What you will be doing:
1. Financial Record Keeping
* Maintains accurate books of accounts
* Records income, expenses, assets, and liabilities
* Using the accounting software, Sage 50
2. Managing Payments & Receipts
* Handles customer invoices and collections (Accounts Receivable)
* Manages supplier payments (Accounts Payable)
* Tracks outstanding due
3. Financial Reporting
Prepares:
* Profit & Loss statements
* Balance Sheets
* Cash Flow statements
* Provides reports to management
4. Budgeting & Cost Control
* Helps prepare budgets
* Monitors expenses
* Suggests cost-saving measures
What we’re looking for:
* Previous experience in an accounts or finance role.
* Strong attention to detail and good numerical skills
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel for financial analysis
* Good communication skills and team oriented
* Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
* Problem-solving skills
