Accounts Receivable & Credit Control Assistant Location: Wigan Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum (pro rata, based on 24 hours per week) Job Type: Part-time (Permanent) Hours: 24 hours per week – Flexible working pattern available Rapid Time Recruit is proud to be recruiting on behalf of an established and forward-thinking client in the environmental sector. About the Role As an Accounts Receivable & Credit Control Assistant, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the financial health of the business. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with solid experience in sales ledger and credit control who’s looking for a part-time role with flexibility. Key Responsibilities Sales Ledger & Credit Control * Prepare and process sales invoices with correct supporting documentation * Monitor and chase outstanding accounts, resolve queries, and manage the accounts inbox * Maintain accurate financial records, send monthly statements, and allocate remittances * Open new customer accounts using Creditsafe and assist with credit limit reviews Credit Card & Transaction Reconciliation * Reconcile company credit card payments * Match delivery notes with purchase orders and follow up on any missing documentation * Help streamline receipt collection processes CIS & Project Support * Record and monitor CIS deductions to ensure compliance * Process supplier invoices and reconcile transactions using Sage * Support administrative tasks related to a finance project with community engagement What We’re Looking For Experience & Knowledge: * Background in Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, or general finance * Confident using accounting software (Sage preferred) * Comfortable with credit checking tools such as Creditsafe * Familiar with credit card reconciliation and financial admin * AAT qualification is desirable but not essential Skills & Attributes: * Strong organisational and time management skills * Meticulous attention to detail * Clear, professional communication – both written and verbal * Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently * Collaborative, adaptable, and solutions-driven approach Why Apply? * Be part of a growing and values-led business * Flexible part-time hours to suit your lifestyle * Friendly, supportive office environment * Opportunity to make a real difference in a meaningful industry Ready to take the next step?
