Fletcher George are arranging interviews for an experienced Accounts Manager to join a well-established, privately owned firm in the Woking area of Surrey. Working within a collaborative team, you will take ownership of a varied portfolio to offer statutory accounts preparation , bookkeeping and payroll services to owner-managed businesses across a range of sectors.

The Accounts Manager Role
Manage a portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients.
Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts for selected clients, providing timely and accurate financial information.
Prepare statutory accounts for a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards and filing requirements.
Manage bookkeeping for a varied client portfolio.
Run monthly payrolls for a portfolio of clients, including directors of owner-managed businesses and their employees.
Process starters, leavers, statutory payments, pension submissions and RTI filings accurately and on time.
Ensure payrolls are fully compliant with current HMRC legislation including SSP, SMP, SPP and other statutory payments.
Review bookkeeping and VAT returns, providing high-quality support and advice to clients.
Support clients using CCH, Brightpayand Xero.
Onboard new clients, ensuring a smooth transition to cloud-based accounting and payroll systems.
About You
Previous experience working within an accountancy practice.
Strong bookkeeping experience together with end-to-end payroll processing.
Experience preparing statutory accounts for owner-managed businesses FRS102 and FRS 105
Up-to-date knowledge of UK payroll legislation including SSP, SMP, SPP, P60s, P11Ds and Auto Enrolment.
Experience using CCH, Payroll and Xero.
Excellent organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
A proactive, client-focused approach with strong communication skills and the confidence to manage your own portfolio.
