We are seeking a Accounts Manager to join a leading Manufacturer in Bury St Edmunds.
The ideal candidate will have a broad range of financial experience, encompassing the preparation and oversight of financial records, from initial bookkeeping activities through to trial balance and the production of management accounts. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual capable of supporting the financial health and reporting needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including general bookkeeping and transaction recording
Manage the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accurate trial balances
Prepare and analyse management accounts and financial reports for internal stakeholders
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
Assist in maintaining compliance with accounting standards and company policies
Provide insights to aid decision-making and improve financial performance
Requirements:
Proven experience in a finance role within a manufacturing or similar environment
Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles through to trial balance and management accounts
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Good communication skills to liaise with various departments and stakeholders
