Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Assistant for a 6-month fixed term contract.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the accounts payable mailbox, responding to first-line queries and escalating when necessary.
* Process supplier invoices across multiple entities, manually and via purchase order systems.
* Reconcile supplier statements and follow up on missing invoices.
* Prepare BACS and international pay runs for review and execution.
* Complete supplier credit application forms and set up new accounts.
* Support with supplier analysis and reporting for business partners and directors.
* Assist the wider finance team with general queries and administrative support.
About You:
* HNC or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
* Previous experience in an accounts payable role.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
* Familiarity with accounting software systems.
* Working knowledge of VAT reporting and compliance.
