Payroll & Accounts Payable Clerk
Location: East Ayrshire
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: Dependent on Experience
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Purpose of role:
We are working with a well-established client within the construction sector who is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join their finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with a strong background in purchase ledger and payroll to become an integral part of a busy accounts department.
Key Responsibilities:
Processing supplier invoices and reconciling statements
Ensuring accurate and timely payment runs
Managing purchase ledger entries
Handling internal and external queries related to accounts payable
Processing payroll using IRIS
Collaborating closely with the finance team and operational staff
General admin duties related to the finance department
Skills / Experience:
Previous experience in an accounts payable or purchase ledger role
Experience using Sage for accounting, IRIS for payroll and Syrinx software (highly desirable)
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
