Excited to be supporting a well-established and growing accountancy practice based in Worcestershire, we are seeking an Accounts Semi Senior to join their dedicated and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a part-qualified accountant or experienced finance professional looking to build a long-term career within practice.
About the Practice:
This South Birmingham-based firm delivers tailored accountancy, tax, and business advisory services to a varied client base including sole traders, partnerships, and SMEs. The team is friendly, down-to-earth, and values building strong, lasting client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
Preparing and submitting VAT returns
Supporting clients with bookkeeping duties and cloud accounting software
Assisting in the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns
Managing and maintaining client relationships with professionalism and care
Supporting senior accountants and partners on ad hoc tasks and projects
Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients where necessary
Candidate Requirements:
AAT qualified or ACCA/ACA part-qualified or working towards this qualification.
Minimum 2 years' experience working within an accountancy practice
Confident using cloud accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach
Solid understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations
Able to manage workload effectively and work both independently and as part of a team
