Job Description
Are you an experienced Accounts professional looking to take the next step in your career? We’re looking for a proactive Accounts Senior to join a fast-growing practice in Bath.
What you’ll be doing
* Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, LLPs, and limited companies.
* Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts and VAT returns using various accounting software.
* Assisting clients with bookkeeping and accounting queries.
* Visiting clients on-site for bookkeeping and management accounts assignments.
* Supporting client projects
* Liaising with the tax team to ensure the timely completion of tax work.
* Identifying risks, opportunities, and potential overruns, and then raising these with the Accounts Manager.
* Supporting and mentoring juniors within the department.
* Ensuring client expectations are managed and statutory deadlines are met.
What we’re looking for
* Experience in accounts preparation within an accountancy practice.
* Ideally AAT qualified or ACA/ACCA part-qualified – though “qualified by experience” candidates will also be considered.
* Good knowledge of accounting systems such as Xero, Sage, and Kashflow.
* Excellent communication skills and confidence when dealing with clients.
* A team player who can also work independently with initiative.
