The Role
We are looking to appoint someone with the skills, knowledge and experience to develop the role of the Achievement and Progress tutor to support the planning and delivery of the tutorial provision on study programmes at Blackburn College.
As part of the role you would be responsible for a number of tutorial groups per annum including the delivery of tutorial and the facilitation of 1:1’s.
The role requires you to track and monitor academic progress of students against their target grades and to identify those “at risk” of under achievement, and to initiate timely intervention with their course tutor, to ensure that they stay on track to achieve or exceed their target grades.

This role compliments the work undertaken by the curriculum teams, and will require a high level of communication particularly with the curriculum teams and the Learning Support and Student Engagement Team.
