Job Description

Zenith People are looking to recruit a Admin Support Officer in the Durham role on a temp basis. To work as part of a team in Executive Support to provide effective and responsive support in relation to standard councillor enquiries. This involves using the Council’s customer relationship management database (CRM) to monitor and check progress on standard councillor enquiries and provide timely updates and quality responses on progress of these enquiries into the system. Duties and responsibilities 1. Responsible for contributing to the efficient and effective provision of administrative support in connection with Member service request digital enquiries process. 2. Responsible for monitoring, checking progress and updating standard councillor enquiries in line with agreed timescales and standards. 3. Proactively chase responses to councillor enquiries which are becoming due with key service contacts, dependant on type of enquiry. 4. Input qualitative and meaningful updates and responses into the CRM to enable councillors to understand progress on their enquiries. 5. Using the CRM system assist in the daily allocation of notifications to proactively ensure timescales for updates on all standard councillor enquiries are met 6. To be aware of any legislation and procedures which may impact service delivery. 7. Build relationships with key points of contact in service areas and gain a good working knowledge of the subject matter for the service and nature of enquiries supported. 8. Gain a good understanding of the Corporate Complaints process and escalate unresolved issues if necessary. 9. Meet performance targets as advised by the Senior Officer & Team Leader. 10. Contribute to continuous improvement activities in order to improve service delivery. Use data, where appropriate, to enhance the quality of service provision and support decision making processes. To provide vision and leadership to inspire and empower all employees so they can reach their full potential and contribute to the council’s values and behaviours. Managers and leaders must engage in personal development to ensure they are equipped to lead transformational change; always searching for better ways to do things differently to meet organisational changes and service priorities. To manage a designated budget, ensuring that the service achieves value for money in all circumstances through the monitoring of expenditure and the early identification of any financial irregularity
