Job Description

Administrator Location: Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire Pay Rate: £14.30 per hour Contract: Temporary The Recruitment Group is recruiting for our client based in Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire, who are looking for an Administrator to join their Service team. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, proactive and customer-focused administrator who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is confident managing multiple priorities. The Role As an Administrator, you will provide effective administrative and coordination support to the Service department. You will play a key role in engineer scheduling, customer enquiries, parts logistics, case management and service documentation, helping to ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of Service operations. You will also support departmental KPIs and help deliver a high standard of customer service to both internal and external customers. Working Hours . Monday to Thursday: 08:30am to 5:00pm, including a 1-hour unpaid lunch break. . Friday: 08:00am to 4:30pm, including a 1-hour unpaid lunch break. . Total paid hours: 37.5 hours per week. Key Responsibilities . Schedule field-based engineers and Service Partners using the CRM system, ensuring appropriate use of skill sets and maximum productivity. . Organise parts for engineers, ensuring items are dispatched from the warehouse and arranging third-party transport where required. . Prepare relevant paperwork and purchase orders for parts and logistics. . Liaise with Technical Engineering Managers regarding engineer productivity, critical sites and jobs. . Support the delivery of projects alongside individual one-off service cases. . Provide excellent customer service by handling telephone enquiries and responding to emails promptly and professionally. . Work collaboratively with schedulers and members of the Service department to resolve resourcing challenges and provide customers with the best possible attendance dates. . Prepare relevant Risk Assessments and Method Statements for service cases. . Accurately and methodically document all transactions. . Assist with the Service inbox, dealing with customer queries and raising cases for call-outs, quoted works and commissioning. . Provide timely updates to customers and internal stakeholders. . Support the achievement of company and departmental KPIs. . Manage day-to-day customer orders, logistical despatch, service works billing and general customer enquiries. . Maintain effective management of the Service inbox. . Ensure timely and professional communication with all customers, both internal and external. . Carry out any other duties required to ensure the department operates efficiently. About You The successful candidate will be: . Highly organised with strong administrative and organisational skills. . Customer-focused with a strong commitment to delivering excellent service. . Confident using IT and Microsoft packages, with the ability and willingness to learn new systems. . Numerate with strong attention to detail. . Proactive, enthusiastic and self-motivated. . Able to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks effectively. . Comfortable working independently using your own initiative as well as being part of a wider team. . Responsible, dependable and flexible in your approach. . Comfortable working within a KPI-driven environment with a strong focus on accuracy, efficiency and service delivery. Why Apply?
