ADMINISTRATOR***
We're hiring for a super varied role with a local Town Council - 4 days a week (Mon-Fri, 28 hours).
As Administrator you'll be supporting the Town Mayor and their team with administration tasks, while also leading the planning and smooth running of on-site council events.
This is the perfect part-time role for someone super organised, proactive, and confident juggling both administrative duties and event coordination.
Salary band £26,835 - £28,163 pro rata depending on experience
Key responsibilities for the Administrator include,
Provide administrative assistance including responding to invites, updating records & organising Mayoral visits/events
First point of contact for all enquiries
Organise all council ceremonial events and civic functions
Actively participate in on-site event management ensuring smooth operations for attendees
Liaise with vendors, suppliers and community stakeholders as required to ensure successful event partnerships
Undertake any other duties appropriate to the post as requiredThe ideal Administrator will need the following,
Previous office-based administrative experience
Exceptional organisational and administrative skills with a good eye for detail
Previous experience of planning, managing and running multiple events essential
Good written and oral communication and presentational & reporting skills using relevant IT programs
Need a flexible approach along with the ability to organise and prioritise your workload
Knowledge of how a council operates or a similar size commercial business operates useful but not essentialNote that this is a part-time 28 hours a week administration position which could suit someone with excellent event planning skills
