Team Manager - Learning Disability Team | Rhondda Cynon Taf Council
Are you an experienced and visionary Social Work leader with a passion for driving excellence in practice within Learning Disability services? Rhondda Cynon Taf Council is seeking a highly motivated Team Practice and Development Manager to join their dedicated Learning Disability Team. This is an exceptional opportunity to shape practice, mentor staff, and ensure high-quality outcomes for individuals with learning disabilities.
Pay Rate: £50.28 per hour
About the Role:
As the Team Practice and Development Manager, you will play a crucial leadership role in enhancing the professional development and practice standards within the Learning Disability Team. This is a non-case holding management position focused on quality assurance, practice improvement, and staff supervision. You will be responsible for:
Providing expert guidance and support to social workers and practitioners within the Learning Disability Team.
Leading on practice development initiatives, ensuring adherence to best practice, statutory guidance, and local policies.
Overseeing complex cases and offering reflective supervision, coaching, and mentoring to staff.
Contributing to the strategic development of the service, identifying training needs, and implementing learning opportunities.
Ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care and support for individuals with learning disabilities and their families.
Monitoring team performance and contributing to positive team culture.
What We're Looking For:
A Social Work Degree or equivalent relevant degree.
Significant post-qualifying experience (ideally 5+ years) working with adults with learning disabilities in the UK, with proven experience in a senior practitioner or management role.
Registered with Social Care Wales.
An up-to-date DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service).
