Job Title: Adult Social Worker
Location: Scunthorpe
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00
Contract: Full-time, 37 hours per week
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Adult Social Worker to join our team in Scunthorpe. The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, supporting adults in the community with a focus on safeguarding and promoting their wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough assessments of adults in need of social care support.
Manage and complete Section 42 enquiries under the Care Act 2014 to safeguard adults at risk.
Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with service users, families, and other professionals.
Work proactively to identify and reduce risks of abuse or neglect.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with organisational policies.
Liaise with multi-agency partners to provide holistic support for adults.
Advocate for service users to ensure their voices are heard and their rights respected.
Essential Experience and Skills:
Proven experience in safeguarding adults.
Experience completing Section 42 enquiries.
Strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and related legislation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to person-centred practice and equality.
