This role has a starting salary of £34,660 per annum, based on a 36 hour working week.
This is a full-time position however, part-time applications will also be considered.
We are excited to be hiring a new Senior Social Care Assistant to join our fantastic Northwest Mental Health social care team. The team covers the areas of Spelthorne, Runnymede and Woking.
The bases are:
Victoria Gate, Chobham Road, Woking, Surrey, GU21 6JD
The Ashford Centre, Stanwell Road, Ashford, Middlesex, TW15 3DUFurther details to be discussed at interview.
This is a hybrid role where the expectation is a minimum of 2 days per week in the office, as well as working in locations to meet the demands of the role as required.

Your key responsibilities as a Senior Social Care Assistant will include:
Assessing and reviewing social care needs
Delivering direct interventions with adults with mental health needs and their carers
Case management
Providing practical front line support, advice and guidance
Working with partner agencies to ensure support is providedYour Application
In order to be considered for shortlisting, your application will clearly evidence the following skills:
Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) or NVQ Level 2 in Social Care, plus relevant experience in a health or social care setting
Knowledge of adult social care legislation and practice, including the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, safeguarding, and person-centred approaches
Experience of assessment and support planning, including gathering information, managing risk, and reviewing outcomes
Understanding of mental health conditions and wellbeing, including the impact of disability and barriers to accessing support
Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, maintain accurate records, and work effectively with individuals, carers, colleagues, and partner agencies
Ability to work independently and use professional judgement whilst responding flexibly to changing demands
Evidence of building strong relationships and working collaboratively with othersSurrey has both urban and rural areas and candidates will be expected to have a valid driving licence to drive in the UK, access to a vehicle and be willing to travel across a wide geographical area. Reasonable adjustments where needed will be made for successful applicants who have a disability or long term health condition to enable them to fulfil the requirements of the job.
An enhanced DBS 'Disclosure and Barring Service' check for regulated activity (formerly known as CRB) and the Children's and Adults' Barred List checks will be required for this role.
