Job Description

We are looking to recruit a Advanced Practitioner in the Children with Disabilities Team within Havering. The successful candidate will be working in a well-structured, organised team who are growing their social worker staffing levels. The responsibilities of the Advanced Practitioner includes: Directly manage and supervise a small number of qualified and non-social work staff. Manage a caseload of complex and challenging cases. Support team manager in maintaining and developing high professional standards across the team. Have specialist knowledge of an area of social work practice with children and families that can be used across the service. To represent the service in developing key service provision or local strategic initiatives. Take responsibility for developing skills, expertise and knowledge for a wide range of practice issues and to provide consultation, coaching and mentoring within the team, including effective case management, purposeful evidence- based interventions, analytical assessments and high quality written work. Support team development and recruitment process. The ideal candidate will have: Social Work England registration Eligibility to work in the UK Social Work qualified (MA/BSc/DipSW/CQSW/MSc/BA) Working with Ackerman Pierce you will be guaranteed weekly payment and access to continued profession development, including a dedicated consultant to support you through the interview and on boarding process. The position offers a long contract within a stable supportive team with a great location and excellent transport links as well as being close to central London.
