Working Hours: Mon – Fri, 09:00 – 17:00, 37 Hours per week
Pay Rate: £ 27.19 per hour

Responsibilities
Ensure children, young people, and their families are involved in the assessment and care planning process.
Adhere to practice standards and meet Social Work England registration requirements.
Support families to keep their children safe and take appropriate action when necessary.
Safeguard and promote the health and well-being of children and young people.
Manage complex casework with children, young people, and their families.
Efficiently and effectively deploy departmental resources.
Provide support and cover for the Principal Manager as needed.
Contribute to information management processes and participate in performance management systems.
Carry out assessments and manage child care plans within prescribed timescales and standards.
Take personal responsibility for professional development and maintain required performance levels.
Devise support plans in partnership with children, families, agencies, and networks.
Provide professional expertise at meetings and represent the local authority in statutory settings.
Mentor and support less experienced team members and participate in service improvement initiatives.
Maintain children’s records in accordance with departmental procedures.
Ensure children, young people, and their families are involved in assessments and plans.
Commit to professional development and contribute to team meetings and service improvements.
Person Specification
Professional Social Work qualification certified by Social Work England.
Meet Social Work England registration and re-registration requirements.
Thorough knowledge of current children’s social care legislation and safeguarding guidance.
Extensive knowledge of related legislation such as education and housing.
Comprehensive knowledge of child development and disabilities.
Knowledge of assessment and intervention methods, case management, and casework methods.
Experience of restorative practice and complex social work with children and families.
Significant post-qualification experience in a social work setting.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to build relationships and relate effectively to children, parents, and carers.
Insight into own behavior and ability to respond to challenges.

Ability to manage time effectively and respond flexibly to service needs.
Proven ability to work in a challenging environment with resilience.
