Stoke-on-Trent City Council is seeking experienced and visionary Senior Children and Families Social Workers to join our Duty and Assessment Teams. About the Role
As an Advanced/Senior Practitioner, you will be part of one of our four dynamic Duty and Assessment Teams, delivering a high-quality, timely assessment service for children and families across Stoke-on-Trent.
Your work will include:
* Undertaking Child and Family Assessments.
* Co-producing Initial Child in Need and Child Protection Plans with families and partner agencies.
* Building effective relationships with our Supporting Families Service and a wide range of community-based services and agencies.
* Working collaboratively with families, partners, and Long-Term Social Work Teams to deliver a restorative, multi-disciplinary approach to safeguarding and care planning.
This is a front-line, fast-paced role where your experience and commitment will ensure that children’s voices are heard and their needs are met.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for qualified social workers with significant post-qualification experience in Children and Families services who:
* Are confident and reflective practitioners.
* Can demonstrate sound risk assessment, analysis and decision-making skills.
* Have the ability to lead practice by example and influence team performance.
* Are passionate about developing others, including mentoring and assessing Newly Qualified Social Workers and Social Work Students.
As a Senior Practitioner, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting and guiding your peers by sharing your expertise and supporting continuous professional development across the team.
