We are working closely with the school's leadership team to appoint an experienced Advanced Skills Teacher (SEN) who is passionate about delivering outstanding teaching and making a lasting impact on the lives of children with additional needs. About the Opportunity As an Advanced Skills Teacher (SEN), you will play a key role in delivering outstanding teaching while supporting colleagues to achieve the best outcomes for pupils. This role would suit an experienced SEN teacher who is confident leading by example and thrives within a collaborative specialist environment. Your Responsibilities * Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons tailored to pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. * Use innovative teaching strategies to maximise pupil progress and engagement. * Support pupils with Autism (ASC), complex learning needs, communication difficulties and associated additional needs. * Model outstanding classroom practice and contribute to raising teaching standards across the school. * Work collaboratively with teachers, Teaching Assistants, therapists and senior leaders. * Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching approaches to meet individual needs. * Contribute to EHCP reviews, assessments and personalised learning plans. * Foster a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment where every pupil can succeed. We're looking for a dedicated and experienced professional who has: * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential. * Significant experience teaching within a specialist SEND or SEN setting. * A proven ability to deliver outstanding teaching and improve pupil outcomes. * Strong knowledge of Autism (ASC), complex needs, communication difficulties and inclusive teaching strategies. * Excellent classroom management and leadership skills. * The ability to inspire pupils and support colleagues through positive collaboration. * A genuine passion for inclusive education and helping every child reach their full potential.
