Quality Inspector - Precision Engineering (Aerospace & Defence)

Location: Ferndown
 Salary: £35k to £36K (DOE)
 Hours: Full-time, Permanent

Do you enjoy working with high-accuracy components and ensuring they meet the strictest aerospace standards?

TeamJobs is excited to partner with a long-established and growing engineering company in Ferndown, who manufacture high-precision components for the aerospace and defence sectors. Due to continued expansion, they are looking for a dedicated Quality Inspector to join their team.

What you will be doing

Carrying out first-off, in-process and final inspection of precision-machined components

Producing FAIRs (EN9102 Rev C) and completing all required documentation

Using a wide range of measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, gauges and optical systems

Operating and programming CMM equipment (Aberlink Axiom Too preferred, but training offered for the right candidate)

Conducting incoming goods inspection and ensuring full traceability

Supporting root cause and corrective action investigations

Working closely with machinists, engineering and quality teams to maintain the highest manufacturing standards

What we are looking for

Previous experience as a Quality Inspector within aerospace, defence, or precision engineering

Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances and GD&T

Knowledge of AS9100 / ISO9001 quality systems

FAIR / EN9102 experience

Good communication skills and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and contribute to continuous improvement
