After School Play Worker – Early Years
Location: Levenshulme, Manchester
Hours: 3pm–6pm, Monday to Friday (afternoons)
Contract: Part-time, term-time only
Start Date: September 2025
We are currently seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and qualified After School Play Worker to join a friendly and supportive afterschool club based in a welcoming primary school in Levenshulme. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) children in a play-based, nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervising and engaging Early Years children in a safe and stimulating afterschool setting
* Planning and delivering fun, age-appropriate play and creative activities
* Supporting the physical, emotional, and social development of each child
* Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times
* Promoting positive behaviour and fostering a warm, inclusive environment
* Working closely with the club leader and school staff to maintain high-quality provision
Requirements:
* A relevant Early Years qualification (e.g Level 2 or above in Childcare or Playwork, or equivalent etc)
* Experience working with young children, ideally in a school or afterschool setting
* A warm, positive, and patient attitude
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* A clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
