Position: Agricultural Property Lawyer
Location: West Dorset
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:15 pm
Salary: £40,000+ (dependent on experience)

A unique opportunity has arisen for a skilled solicitor or legal executive to join a forward-looking law firm with a strong regional presence. You will take a key role in the delivery of high-quality legal services to clients involved in rural land and property matters, ranging from large estates to family-run farms.
This is the ideal position for a legal professional seeking a long-term role within a supportive, collaborative team that values expertise, innovation, and career development.
What You’ll Be Doing
Advising and acting on transactions involving farmland, agricultural estates, and rural properties
Preparing and reviewing a variety of documents, including access agreements, overage clauses, and land transfers
Offering strategic advice on non-contentious issues relating to agricultural tenancies
Liaising with colleagues across property, private client, and commercial departments to deliver seamless service
Engaging in client relationship development and participating in relevant networking events
What We’re Looking For
At least 2 years of post-qualification experience in property law, ideally with exposure to rural/agricultural matters
A confident communicator with the ability to build strong client relationships
Strong drafting and negotiation skills
A practical and commercially minded approach to solving client issues
Willingness to contribute to team success and firm-wide initiatives
