Multi Skilled Air Conditioning Engineer - Aberdeen - Up to £45,000 plus excellent benefits and company van
CBW have a new opportunity for a Multi Skilled Technician to join a team that provides facilities and project management services across the UK for a large, well-known Facilities Company.
In this role, you’ll help make sure buildings are running safely and efficiently. You’ll carry out planned maintenance, respond to urgent issues, support small projects, and help solve technical problems—especially around electrical and mechanical systems.
You’ll also support and guide other team members, help manage contractors, and ensure the work is done safely, on time, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out routine maintenance and respond to faults across building systems like lighting, heating, cooling, and plumbing.
Follow health and safety rules, including COSHH and environmental guidelines.
Help lead safe systems of work (as an Authorised Person) and support others in doing the same.
Investigate building issues, make things safe when needed, and report or escalate problems.
Keep records and update the maintenance system with completed work.
Work closely with contractors, check their work, and ensure it meets quality standards.
Step in to support your team during busy periods or when others are off.
Make sure all planned maintenance is completed on time and meets legal requirements.
Help manage paperwork and make sure all on-site documents are up to date.
Review safety and technical documents such as risk assessments and method statements.
Prioritise tasks to meet deadlines and help the team deliver excellent service.
Experience and Qualifications:
A completed apprenticeship in either Air Conditioning or Electrical Installation.
Good knowledge of building systems—extra experience with plumbing, heating, gas or water systems is a bonus.
Experience in a facilities or building maintenance role.
Confident using IT systems like Microsoft Office and maintenance softwareSkills and Qualities:
Strong communication skills and a helpful, customer-focused attitude.
Safety-conscious, with a good understanding of working safely in buildings.
A team player who can also work independently.
Good at organising work and managing time.
Open to change and able to adapt to new ways of working.
Keen to improve and learn new skills.
Able to produce simple reports and share technical information clearly.
